We were at lake isabella the last week in August we also had no idea we couldn't swim. We still tent camped and went to the natural water slides(1hr away) that were cool but dangerous(you need a vehicleto get there no rv).

I grew up in Lake Isabella. Aka “lake itchybelly”. It’s always a mud hole. There were a few years when the lake was full and flowing and clean. But not often. Wow. My house was literally on that hill above your campsite. Yankee canyon. There are some pretty place around there. But mostly it’s a hell hole.
